The Biotech Robot™ GenUP Plasmid Kit is designed for rapid and efficient purification of plasmids from 0.5 to 15 mL bacterial suspension. After alkaline lysis and precipitation of chromosomal DNA and bacterial proteins, plasmid DNA binds to a spin filter, is washed, and then eluted in a low-salt buffer. Typically, up to 60 µg of plasmid DNA can be obtained from 15 mL bacterial culture, depending on the plasmid copy number.

The purified plasmid DNA is ready for use in all complex molecular biology applications, including enzymatic reactions and sequencing.
