Assay Principle

During the IHC procedure, the primary HER-2 antibody binds directly to its membrane antigen.
Next, the HRP-conjugated secondary antibody attaches to the primary antibody.
Finally, the DAB chromogen reacts with the complex and produces a brown membrane stain.
This staining confirms HER-2 expression in tumor cells.
