The biotechrabbit™ GenUP Blood RNA Kit is designed for the rapid isolation of total RNA from up to 1 mL of whole blood, whether fresh or frozen, stabilized with EDTA or citrate. In the first step, red blood cells are removed. After a partial lysis step, genomic DNA is captured by a mini DNA filter, which can be discarded. RNA is selectively bound to a mini RNA filter, washed with two different buffers, and then extracted. The entire RNA isolation process takes approximately 45 minutes from start to finish. The isolated RNA is suitable for a wide range of molecular biology applications, including RT-PCR.

This kit is specifically designed for use with blood.
