CD79a Antibody (Immunohistochemistry)
The CD79a Antibody is a highly specific immunohistochemical marker for identifying B-cell neoplasms.
CD79a Antibody is a dimeric transmembrane protein composed of two distinct subunits, CD79a and CD79b, expressed throughout B-cell development from the pro-B stage to plasma cells.
This antibody is a valuable diagnostic tool for differentiating B-cell lymphomas from other hematopoietic neoplasms and for evaluating B-cell maturation in bone marrow and lymphoid tissues.
🔬 Features and Benefits CD79a Antibody
-
B-cell specific marker: Detects B-cell lineage in lymphoid and hematopoietic tissues
-
Essential for lymphoma diagnosis: Especially useful in identifying B-cell lymphomas and plasmacytomas
-
Clear membrane staining: Brown coloration on the cell membrane of positive cells
-
Compatible with standard IHC protocols: Suitable for pathology and research laboratories
-
Stable and reliable: Long shelf life (18 months) at 2–8 °C
⚙️ Principle of the Assay CD79a Antibody
During the IHC process, the CD79a Antibody antibody binds to the B-cell membrane antigen. The HRP-conjugated secondary antibody forms the antigen–antibody–HRP complex, which reacts with DAB chromogen to produce a brown insoluble stain on the membrane of positive cells.
💡 Diagnostic Applications
-
Identification and differentiation of B-cell neoplasms
-
Diagnosis of B-cell lymphomas and plasmacytomas
-
Evaluation of B-cell maturation in bone marrow
-
Research on B-cell vs. T-cell differentiation
