CD4 Antibody (Immunohistochemistry) – Talent Biomedical
Exclusive Distributor in Iran: Fardad Azma Rad Co.
Pathologists use the CD4 Antibody to detect CD4 protein in tissue samples.
CD4 is a 55 kDa glycoprotein expressed on T-helper cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, and macrophages.
As a result, this antibody provides important information when evaluating immune-related and lymphoproliferative disorders.
In addition, identifying CD4 expression helps distinguish T-cell lymphomas from other immune-related neoplasms.
Therefore, the antibody plays a central role in diagnostic immunohistochemistry.
Features and Benefits
- High specificity and sensitivity for CD4 antigen
- Clear brown staining on the cell membrane and cytoplasm
- Compatible with standard IHC protocols
- Reliable performance with excellent stability
- Useful for diagnostic and research applications
Principle of the Assay
During the IHC process, the primary CD4 antibody binds directly to its target antigen.
Next, an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody attaches to the primary antibody and strengthens the signal.
Finally, the DAB chromogen reacts with this complex and produces a brown insoluble stain.
Consequently, the stain confirms the presence and location of the CD4 antigen.
Diagnostic Applications
- Identification of CD4⁺ cells in tissue sections
- Differential diagnosis of T-cell lymphomas
- Evaluation of CD4 expression in clinical and research pathology
- Immunoprofiling in diagnostic and academic laboratories
