Inhibin-α Antibody (Immunohistochemistry)

The Inhibin-α Antibody is a highly specific IHC marker. It helps diagnose
sex cord–stromal tumors and adrenal neoplasms with high accuracy.
In addition, Inhibin-α is a dimeric glycoprotein hormone made of α and β subunits. It is naturally expressed in
granulosa, Sertoli, and Leydig cells, and it regulates follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) secretion.

Moreover, Inhibin-α shows strong expression in normal ovary, testis, and placenta.
As a result, it becomes an essential marker for distinguishing ovarian granulosa cell tumors,
Sertoli–Leydig cell tumors, and adrenocortical neoplasms from epithelial or metastatic tumors.
Therefore, it plays a central role in diagnostic decision-making in pathology.
