ATRX (Immunohistochemistry) Antibody
Reliable Detection of ATRX Protein Expression and Nuclear Loss in Gliomas
The ATRX antibody, developed by Talent Biomedical, is a high-affinity immunohistochemical reagent designed to detect the expression and loss of the ATRX protein in human tissue samples.
The ATRX gene (Alpha Thalassemia/Mental Retardation Syndrome X-linked) encodes a chromatin remodeling factor that plays an essential role in DNA replication, transcriptional regulation, and nucleosome stability.
Loss of ATRX expression has been strongly correlated with IDH1-mutant astrocytomas and serves as a powerful molecular biomarker for the diagnosis and subclassification of diffuse gliomas.
In IHC analysis, ATRX displays a distinct nuclear brown staining pattern in normal cells, while absence of nuclear staining within tumor cells indicates mutation or deletion of the ATRX gene.
