On October 4, 2006, Dr. Eric Zhou and Mr. Yan Liu founded Biohermes in the city of Wuxi, located in the heart of the southern Yangtze River Delta in China. Over the past 18 years, Biohermes has focused on the development of diabetes monitoring technologies and has produced a complete range of HbA1c analyzers with point-of-care (POC) methods and HPLC techniques.

2024 marks the tenth year of Mr. Kimi Liu’s leadership at Biohermes, steering the company toward internationalization. Biohermes became the first Chinese manufacturer to receive the FDA 510(k) premarket approval in the United States and the first Chinese representative to be selected by FIND Diagnostics as one of the 19 top methods for HbA1c monitoring globally.
