CDX-2 Antibody (Immunohistochemistry)
The CDX-2 Antibody is an essential immunohistochemical marker used for diagnosing
colorectal adenocarcinomas and a broad spectrum of
gastrointestinal neoplasms.
CDX-2 is a nuclear homeobox transcription factor involved in the
differentiation and functional regulation of intestinal epithelial cells, especially during embryologic development.
CDX-2 shows specific expression in
colorectal tumors,
intestinal metaplasia of the stomach,
intestinal-type gastric carcinoma, and certain
ovarian carcinomas.
IHC staining typically reveals brown nuclear staining, enabling accurate identification and differentiation of gastrointestinal-origin tumors from other neoplasms.
🔬 Features and Benefits CDX-2 Antibody
- Highly specific marker for colorectal and gastrointestinal tumors
- Produces distinct brown nuclear staining
- Valuable for detecting intestinal metaplasia and ovarian carcinomas
- Compatible with standard IHC staining protocols
- Excellent stability: 18-month shelf life at 2–8 °C
💡 Diagnostic Applications
- Detection of colorectal adenocarcinoma and intestinal-type gastric cancer
- Identification of intestinal metaplasia in gastric biopsies
- Differentiation of gastrointestinal tumors from ovarian carcinomas
- Useful in tumors of unknown origin to determine intestinal differentiation
