Kappa Light Chain Antibody (Immunohistochemistry)
The Kappa Light Chain Antibody is a highly specific immunohistochemical marker for identifying normal and neoplastic B-cells, particularly in the diagnosis of lymphoid neoplasms and plasma cell disorders.
Kappa Light Chains are part of immunoglobulin molecules expressed on the surface and in the cytoplasm of B-cells and plasma cells.
In neoplastic conditions, an abnormal Kappa/Lambda ratio or monoclonal expression indicates lymphoproliferative disorders.
Immunohistochemical staining shows brown cytoplasmic positivity, helping pathologists differentiate B-cell lymphomas from reactive lymphoid proliferations when used alongside Lambda Light Chain antibody.
